Visualeyes & deafPLUS...
Our commitment is to giving people with disabilities the chance to develop life-skills and as part of this we are working with Visualeyes. These are 2 qualified but partially sighted chefs with experience in teaching and training apprenticeships.
Their aim is to give those people with disabilities the confidence to cook a three - course meal for them-selves at home and get away from unhealthy microwavable food.
Sessions will take place on Tuesday afternoon from 12.30 to 3pm.
Our other partnership is with deafPLUS. They provide interpreters and assist in supporting us to give confidence and self-worth to our staff and volunteers who are deaf. It is important to us that everyone enjoys their work and is able to find a purpose in what they do.
